Your Mexico elopement should feel like you — real, intentional, and away from the crowds and typical wedding destinations.
You’re in the right place — I’ve got your back.
We’ll figure out the best destination in Mexico for your intimate wedding or elopement, based on the season, airport access, local vendors, timeline, and what matters most to you.
I’m that one friend who always ends up planning the trip — booking the Airbnb, finding the best spots, and organizing everything. I’ve studied both photography and sustainable tourism, worked for travel agencies in Oaxaca, and I graduated high school in Texas — I speak Spanish & English and can also connect you with local wedding planners if needed.
“We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Mariana! She is not only an amazing photographer but also an incredible person who went above and beyond to make our wedding day truly unforgettable. From our very first exchange she was very responsive and was able to make send out of our vision. She provided useful insights and recommendations. She knows the most stunning and hidden spots that took our photos to the next level—places we never would have found on our own (La Paz and surrounding).
Her calm and professional demeanor made our day completely stress-free, and she took so much time with us to make sure everything was perfect. We are not used to have our photo taken, but she made us feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera, which shows in every single photo.
Her dedication and kindness truly set her apart. We highly recommend Mariana to anyone looking for someone who will go the extra mile to capture memories you’ll cherish forever!
Thank you again for everything!!!”

We’ll hop on a video call to brainstorm what feels right for you — just the two of you or a few guests?
Can also say - to come up with what feels right for you
Once you choose the location, I’ll contact local vendors and confirm availability.
You’ll sign contracts and lock in your vendors. I’ll help guide you through it
Your elopement is on the calendar — time to get excited!
We’ll meet the day before or have a quick video call to go over last details. If we meet in person, we’ll do a 30-minute photo session so you feel comfortable in front of the camera.
This is your day — enjoy it to the fullest. Yes, we’ll get beautiful photos, but what matters most is that you’re present, connected, and living the moment together.
Your photos are ready — relive the emotions, details, and joy again and again.
✶ You won’t be able to choose vendors who actually align with your values — resorts often lock you into their preferred list.
✶ You won’t get a timeline built around your experience — everything runs on their schedule.
✶ You won’t get privacy or intimacy — most locations are shared with other guests or weddings.
✶ You won’t get off-the-beaten-path spots with meaning — just the same beachfront gazebo used by dozens of couples that month.
✶ You won’t feel the freedom to create something unique — like a sunrise ceremony in the desert, a hike to a waterfall, or a mezcal toast with just your closest people.
Colomitos Beach, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco
For Darcy and Breyden, eloping meant freedom. They spent the whole day on a private boat with their closest friends and said their vows on the remote beach of Colomitos, near Puerto Vallarta. Later, they hosted their official wedding back in the U.S.
Villa La Mar, Todos Santos, Baja California Sur
Vanessa and Travis chose a peaceful and romantic elopement in Todos Santos, staying at Villa La Mar, known for its vibrant sunsets and serene vibe. It was just the two of them—quiet, beautiful, and deeply personal.
Casa Garrobo, Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, Mexico
Maude and Nicolas celebrated their micro wedding at Casa Garrobo, a stunning cliff top villa overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Zihuatanejo. With dramatic ocean views and an intimate setting, their day was simple, emotional, and unforgettable.
Mariana & Sinai were truly SOO AMAZING!!! My fiancé told me they were so helpful and kind during the planning process of the proposal. He said he couldn’t have done it without them and that because of them his vision for my surprise proposal turned out perfect.
After the proposal, of course all emotions were high (in the best way), and she guided us so perfectly to get cute and candid pictures. She also gave us time to be alone and in the moment after he proposed before we really got into posing and getting pictures. They were both so friendly, and told us what to do for pictures, which we both need since we don’t take photos like this often haha
Highly recommend them, we stayed in La Paz and she picked a private spot on the beach that was stunning and perfect for sunset.

I could not recommend Mariana enough! We had the pleasure of meeting and working with her for our elopement in Puerto Vallarta. We never had professional photos taken before so we were pretty nervous at the start, but she was still able to capture stunning photos that we’ll cherish forever. I think the pictures speak for themselves! We planned our elopement around finding her website, talking to her and seeing her previous work. Thank you, Mariana! :)

We were looking for a photographer in La Paz to capture our pregnancy and Mariana did such a wonderful job!! We were able to go out to our favorite beach and Mariana did a great job posing my husband (who hates getting his photo taken). It was such a wonderful experience. She got our photos back to us so quickly, and we loved every one of them. Mariana will be our go to Photographer while in La Paz ❤️ We can’t wait to come back down with both our babies and do a family shoot!!

Elopement weddings in Mexico are generally more affordable than traditional weddings. Most couples spend between $5,000–$25,000 USD, including flights, accommodations, photography, and vendors.
The best months are November through May, when the weather is drier and temperatures are more comfortable. Avoid the rainy season (June–October), especially in coastal areas. If you would like to do something special such as whale watching, cactus blooms, or warm sunsets. I can help you pick the right month for it.
You can either have a legal wedding (with some paperwork and a blood test), or keep it symbolic, which is what most couples prefer. You can get legally married at home and have your celebration here without the hassle.
Not necessarily! If you’re keeping it simple, I’ll help with location scouting, vendor suggestions, and logistics. But if you’re planning a more styled or multi-day experience, I can recommend planners who speak English in Mexico.
I split my time between Baja California Sur (close to Los Cabos and La Paz), and central Mexico. I’m also just 1.5 hours from Mexico City, which has two major international airports — so I’m well connected and can travel easily to any destination.
I started photographing weddings as a side job in 2015, and since 2020 it’s been my full-time job specializing in small and intimate weddings across Mexico.
3 weeks for sessions, and around 1 to 2 months for weddings and elopements.
You can pay via Zelle, E-transfer, Paypal or Direct Deposit, whichever is most convenient for you. I require a 30% retainer to secure your date, and the remaining balance is due two weeks before the wedding.
Yes, of course. 🙂
I focus on photography, but my assistant and I always record short vertical clips during the day — perfect for Reels or TikToks — and we include them with every event. If you’re looking for full video coverage, I’d be happy to recommend talented professional videographers.
Yes! I’ve hitchhiked and backpacked through many parts of Mexico and know lots of stunning off-the-beaten-path places. I also volunteer with national parks and can guide you through location logistics and permit requirements if needed.
Absolutely — I’m happy to share a list of vendors I’ve worked with in Mexico to help you find the right fit
